About the role
Perform service—preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades, and refurbishment—on equipment at assigned Hiab locations in line with Manager’s instructions. Contribute to productive customer relationships and follow Best Practice in all administrative and technical activities.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, and troubleshoot (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades, and refurbishment) on equipment including forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, hooklifts, skiploaders, and hoists
- Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices, and environmental requirements
- Stay up to date with technical developments via internal service bulletins and complete technical courses as instructed by District Service Manager
- Respond to customer queries and concerns to maximize satisfaction, following Hiab Customer Satisfaction Guidelines
- Maintain adequate records, documentation, and submit daily reports in the specified format
- Recognize sales opportunities and communicate them to the District Service Manager
- Coach and tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary
- Conduct yourself in a manner that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow Quality System rules
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card (required)
- Valid Driver’s License (required)
- No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two-year time frame (all violations will be reviewed)
- High School diploma or equivalent (required)
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical operations
- Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Own required tools
- Know, understand, and comply with Hiab USA, Inc. Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions

$60,000–$75,000 per year
