Service Technician

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for common area and apartment repairs (routine and preventative) in the scope of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, wall repairs, painting, plumbing and appliances
• Further oversight of the building’s curb appeal through building exterior inspections, cleaning, and grounds maintenance is required
• Customer service and attention to detail are critical skills to ensure the satisfaction of the community’s residents
• Responsible for daily cleaning
• Special projects as assigned
• Apply preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
• Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Able to attend team meetings, workshops and training sessions as required
• Will be required to be in an on-call rotation with other employees for emergency work orders

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance, drywall, painting, and snow removal
• Customer service first attitude
• Must have reliable transportation for on-call emergencies
• Experience working in maintenance in an apartment community
• Prior experience working in maintenance at an apartment community is a must
• Strong written, verbal and computer skills are preferred
