About the role
The Property Maintenance Technician position is ideal for individuals who enjoy problem-solving and maintaining properties in excellent condition. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that all properties remain safe, functional, and attractive for residents.
Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance maintenance.
- Complete make-readies for incoming residents.
- Ensure the property looks its best through painting, carpentry, and general upkeep tasks.
- Tackle emergencies promptly and respond with confidence and efficiency.
- Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment and systems in top shape.
- Collaborate with the property management team to prioritize repairs and plan for larger projects.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing maintenance concerns quickly and professionally.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-3 years in property maintenance, handyman work, or a related field.
- Skills: Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs. Certifications are a plus!
- Licenses: Valid Driver’s License.
- Physical: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.
- Attitude: Problem-solving mindset, great attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Customer Focus: Friendly and professional approach to working with residents and team members.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including a rotating on-call schedule for emergencies.
