Service Technician II
About the role
Kenco Logistics is a leading 3PL provider in the U.S. offering a dynamic and supportive work environment. The Service Technician II position is crucial for maintaining and repairing Material Handling Equipment (MHE), automated systems, and conveyors across various customers and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and perform Planned Maintenance (PM) on all Fleet Services Equipment, automated systems, and conveyors.
- Correctly repair and maintain MHE, batteries, automated systems, and conveyors in line with site and OEM standards.
- Communicate with site managers, supervisors, and operations leaders about equipment status, service needs, and project timelines.
- Manage equipment condition and readiness for repairs by reporting damages, coordinating parts, and maintaining accurate records.
- Interact professionally with customers and coworkers, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
- Conduct routine inspections and safety checks to ensure compliance with OSHA and manufacturer standards.
- Use OEM software, service manuals, and diagrams to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Ensure 80% technician efficiency and 100% PM completion monthly through maximizing billable work hours.
- Support the Kenco Operating System by identifying and implementing process improvements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 2-4 years of mechanic experience, preferably in material handling equipment, automated systems, and conveyors.
- ASE Certification preferred, with Silver and/or Gold Certification preferred.
- Electrical journeyman certification preferred, with electrical and pneumatic experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on multiple types of equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical and hydraulic system schematics.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Own mechanic technician hand tools.
- Must be able to operate lift trucks safely.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or tech school graduate required.
- Experience with repair and maintenance of material handling equipment, automated systems, and conveyors, or similar equipment.
- Knowledge of customer facility-specific safety requirements, site access protocols, and contractor safety orientation procedures.

- Understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

This position requires approximately 25% travel. A passport is recommended but not required.
