About the role
Hobart Service, an Illinois Tool Works Company, is seeking a skilled technician to join our team. We provide comprehensive commercial food equipment service solutions across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Electrically and mechanically troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial food equipment such as cooking, food preparation, ware washers, weigh wrap, baking, and refrigeration units.
- Work with customers to resolve issues and improve their equipment performance.
- Drive to customer sites to perform services and repairs, typically leaving from home each morning.
- Maintain high levels of customer service and meet or exceed weekly productivity goals.
- Attend industry-leading training at our corporate headquarters in Troy, OH.
Requirements
- An accredited High School Diploma or GED.
- 2-4 years of related electrical/mechanical experience.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- The ability to drive multiple hours daily.
- The ability to work overtime and on-call as required.
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs with or without assistance.
- Ability to climb up to 10 ft with an A-frame ladder.
- Experience with operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of operating machinery and power tools.
Skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Pay
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Normal business hours with occasional/frequent/extended hours as needed. Flexibility with schedule to meet critical deadlines. Extended hours may include nights and/or weekends. Normal scheduled hours cover early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
