Service Technician - Haz-mat

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Handles, inspects, and prepares waste for the incineration process.
• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices.
• Loads and/or unloads drums and containers from trucks in a safe and compliant manner.
• Processes and/or stores hazardous waste materials.
• Weighs and breaks down large containers to consolidate into smaller containers.
• Samples and inspects all containers as they are received at the facility.
• Drives forklift to retrieve drums and containers from storage; operates computer and conveyor.
• Transports/positions trailers and tankers for collection of slag and ash.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.

Education

• High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous forklift experience (preferred)
• Previous firefighting experience (preferred)
• HAZWOPER Certificate (preferred)
