Service Technician (Fire/Security)

Position Overview

Loyal Source is seeking a skilled and dependable Service Technician to join our growing team in Nashville, TN. We are looking for a well-rounded technician with experience servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a variety of low-voltage security and life safety systems. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional service and technical expertise to customers.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete approximately three service tickets per day.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain security and fire alarm systems.
• Perform service work on:
  • Access Control Systems
  • CCTV / Video Surveillance Systems
  • Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Fire Alarm Systems
• Conduct system testing and inspections to ensure code compliance and proper functionality.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding service findings and recommended solutions.
• Complete service reports and required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while representing Loyal Source.

Required Qualifications

• Experience servicing and troubleshooting security and life safety systems.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Access Control
  • CCTV / Video Surveillance
  • Intrusion Detection
  • Fire Alarm Systems
• Ability to read system documentation, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the following manufacturers is highly preferred:
  • Edwards
  • Honeywell
  • Gamewell
  • Avigilon
• NICET Certification (any level)
• Manufacturer certifications from major security or fire alarm brands
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Schedule & Compensation

• Start Time: 8:00 AM on the job site
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Overtime: Available based on project needs and service demand
• Pay Rate: $32 / hour
