Role Overview
As a Service Technician, you help create a safe, well-maintained, and comfortable living environment for residents. You are responsible for performing basic maintenance tasks, supporting unit turnovers, maintaining community spaces, and delivering prompt, friendly, and high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general apartment upkeep
- Complete make-ready tasks to ensure vacant units are clean, functional, and ready for new residents
- Maintain overall property appearance, including daily ground upkeep and trash removal
- Respond to resident service requests promptly, professionally, and with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Assist with preventative maintenance and seasonal projects assigned
- Report safety hazards, recurring issues, or larger maintenance needs to your supervisor
Qualifications
- 1-2+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or related work preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic knowledge of household repairs and use of hand tools (or willingness to learn)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team
- Strong customer-service skills and a professional attitude
- Ability to lift, carry, climb ladders, and work in various indoor/outdoor conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
