About the role
The Birch Apts is seeking a Service Technician to join their team. This position requires 1-3 years of experience in Property Management, excellent customer service skills, and working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, elevators, and energy management systems.Responsibilities
- Inspect property and report any safety hazards or needed repairs to Maintenance Supervisor.
- Aid in hazardous weather problems, fires, floods, freezing temperatures, snow removal, etc.
- Assist with pest control, property inspections, and other vendor services in occupied units.
- Assist office staff with delivering resident notices.
- Work weekends as needed.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Available for night/weekend call duty and during inclement weather.
- Must be able to lift 25-100 lbs. on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- Experience using Yardi or other Property Management Software.
- Active HVAC Certification and experience is required.
- Plumbing/Electrical skills are a must.
- Knowledge of repair/replace locks, smoke alarms, appliance repairs, roofing inspection/minor roof repairs, and HVAC repairs.
