Service Technician - Chiller

About the role

The Service Technician specializes in the start-up and service of equipment for air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control, and energy management applications. We are searching for both experienced and entry-level HVAC technicians to support our growing service business. This role services the South Florida area.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, start up, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems
• Work with chillers, rooftop units, AHUs, cooling towers, and pumps
• Perform operations and start-ups on HVAC equipment
• Interpret wiring diagrams and troubleshoot refrigeration and electrical systems quickly
• Execute, follow, and verify outlined production steps and procedures
• Communicate concerns clearly within the organization and with external parties
• Prioritize tasks and work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• Understanding of the refrigeration cycle and all its components
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with chillers
• Experience with 3-phase 460 volts
• Experience with building automation and equipment controls
• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to learn
• EPA Certification
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
• Reliable transportation to and from work
