Service Technician - B Level Tech

About the role

DePaula Chevrolet is seeking hardworking service technicians to join their award-winning team. The ideal candidate is someone who strives to become a master technician. They offer professional training for employees who want to grow and develop themselves.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles and performs partial or complete overhaul of engines, transmissions, and differentials.
• Uses gauges, special tools, and specialized equipment to diagnose mechanical failure or problems.
• Installs and/or adjusts brakes, heaters and defrosters.
• Replaces worn or broken parts.
• Operates vehicles to diagnose problems and validate that repairs have been completed.
• Constructs, maintains or services shop equipment as necessary.
• Repairs equipment and machinery as necessary.

Requirements

• Familiarity with automobiles and repairs.
• NYS Inspector's License.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and provide a DMV Drivers Abstract.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 years of experience to be considered.
• High School diploma or GED – ASE Certification preferred.
• NYS Inspectors License.
• Mathematical and reading skills.
• Ability to learn new technology.
• Ability to learn new service techniques and procedures.
