Service Technician
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance repairs on existing traffic systems to ensure their proper functioning and identify any issues or potential hazards.
- Troubleshoot and repair traffic and street light systems.
- Conduct regular tests and quality checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize workload.
- Respond to emergency situations and resolve issues promptly.
- Provide training and guidance to less experienced technicians, as needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plus.
- NEC Certification- mandatory.
- IMSA Level II certified preferred.
- A Class A license holder, preferred.
- Crane Operator certified, preferred.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Utility Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good oral and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
