Service Technician

What You’ll Do

• Service washers and dryers at apartments, laundromats, hotels, athletic facilities, etc.
• Disassemble machines and examine mechanical and electrical parts
• Reassemble appliances, adjust pulleys, and lubricate moving parts
• Replace worn or defective parts and adjust motors
• Clean and wash parts
• Advis[e] dispatch department of equipment that should be replaced with new equipment
• Drive a company vehicle to and from work locations

What We’re Looking For

• A High School Diploma or GED
• A good driving record
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
• Effective English communication skills (oral and written); bilingual communication skills (English and Spanish) are desirable
• At least 2 years of mechanical experience and electrical knowledge and/or training
• The ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally move 200 pounds or more with a dolly/hand truck
• Prior washer/dryer repair experience is desirable
