Service Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and assist in the maintenance of refractory systems.
• Assist in the service of specialized pneumatic refractory gunite equipment.
• Monitor refractory inventories.
• Support and actively follow the established employee safety program.
• Schedule and plan refractory maintenance outages.
• Track refractory performance.
• Interact with customers to determine their immediate and long-term refractory requirements.
• Schedule refractory delivery.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills Needed

• A college degree is preferred.
• Effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A proven ability to “multi-task” is necessary.
• The ability to work and interact with others at different internal and external organizational levels is essential.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word is required.
• The ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and be responsive 24/7 is necessary.
• A valid driver's license and proof of insurance are required.
