Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for off-site breakdowns and repairs, including troubleshooting tractor and trailer systems to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and safety.
• Perform minor repairs and guide drivers on next steps for major repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, focusing on root causes for permanent fixes.
• Identify and isolate non-diesel repair items (e.g., trailer, tires) and ensure timely resolution by appropriate personnel.
• Repair stranded vehicles roadside to return them to service quickly and safely.
• Understand OEM parts, warranty processes, and obtain correct parts promptly; manage on-truck parts inventory.
• Complete required records in computer systems for historical tracking of company equipment.
• Utilize computer programs for Asset Tracking, Work Order Management, and Parts Management.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area compliant with OSHA and company regulations.
• Assist with moving equipment around the yard as needed.
• Foster a positive work atmosphere to meet company demands and expectations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• Three (3) years of heavy equipment/mechanic-related experience.
• Skills required to accomplish essential job duties.
• Superior customer service skills; valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals and complete repair orders.
• Proficiency in using and learning diagnostic software for tractors/trailers.
• May be required to acquire and maintain a Class A commercial driver’s license (based on service truck setup).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; the company does not sponsor employment visas.
