Service Technician

About the role

South County Lexus is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Professional Service Technician to join their elite service team. This position offers a chance to be part of the "Lexus Experience," where precision and excellence are key.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose & Repair: Perform high-quality automotive repairs, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning systems.
• Quality Assurance: Execute multi-point inspections and ensure all repairs meet Lexus factory standards.
• Efficiency: Maintain a productive pace while ensuring "fixed right the first time" results.
• Communication: Work closely with Service Advisors to provide clear descriptions of vehicle needs and repair estimates.
• Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of the curve by participating in ongoing Lexus factory training and certification programs.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of professional automotive diagnostic and repair experience (Luxury or Import experience is a plus).
• Tools: Must possess a personal set of basic automotive tools.
• Technical Savvy: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and service software.
• Credentials: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. ASE certifications are highly preferred.
• Mindset: A strong work ethic, a team-player attitude, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
