About the role
Polaris Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically skilled Shock Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspect, maintain, repair, and optimize shock absorbers for various applications, including UTV and Snowmobile shocks.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, disassemble, clean, and rebuild shock absorbers to manufacturer or custom specifications.
- Document shock settings, pressures, measurements, and parts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to meet performance goals.
- Follow all safety protocols and quality control procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
- Mechanical or automotive repair experience (shock/suspension experience a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
- Ability to lift and handle components up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with motorsports or off-road vehicle suspension systems.
- Familiarity with shock dyno operation and data interpretation.
Work Environment
- Hands-on mechanical work in a shop setting.
- Occasional travel for events, testing, or customer support.
Pay and Benefits
- Starting pay range for California is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime.
