Service Technician

Phil Long Subaru in Glenwood Springs is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician. Join a growing team dedicated to providing top-notch service.

Responsibilities

• Performs work as outlined on repair orders, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses malfunction causes and performs repairs.
• Communicates with parts department for necessary parts.
• Saves and tags parts for warranty or customer request.
• Examines vehicles for safety and service needs.
• Documents work performed and recommends additional services.
• Road tests vehicles as needed or refers to test technicians.
• Attends manufacturer-sponsored training programs and stays updated on technical bulletins.
• Supervises apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Maintains cleanliness of shop area and returns tools and manuals to proper condition.
• Complies with federal, state, and local regulations regarding safety and environmental practices.
• Operates tools and equipment safely.
• Reports safety issues to management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read, write, and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Valid driver's license.

Pay

$60,000 - $100,000 annually
