Service Technician

About the role

The role is available within Patterson Companies, Inc., a company dedicated to providing top-tier products, technologies, services, and business solutions to the animal and oral health markets. We are currently seeking a motivated individual with a strong mechanical background to join our Dental Service team.

Responsibilities

• Install and/or Repair Dental Equipment: Under the guidance of mentors and through online training, technicians will learn to safely remove, modify, repair, and install various dental equipment. They will also follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
• Follow Manufacturer Guidelines: Technicians must adhere to specific installation procedures and jobsite protocols, as well as comply with OSHA and other relevant laws and regulations regarding asepsis.
• Customer Service: Support customers by responding promptly and professionally, building and maintaining relationships through courteous and considerate interactions, and following up on customer needs.
• Additional Functions: Work with a sense of urgency and persistence, solve problems proactively, and demonstrate interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude required
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations
• Focused on understanding and fulfilling customer needs
• Basic computer skills and/or ability to use smart phone/tablet
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams is helpful
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade school training in carpentry, plumbing, heating, electricity, or electronics
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams
