About the Role

Join Numotion, North America’s largest provider of mobility products and services, as a Service Technician. In this role, you’ll service and repair complex manual and powered wheelchairs, along with other essential medical equipment. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction by ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for daily use. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair equipment, both in the shop and in the field, including obtaining quotes.
  • Maintain rental and stock equipment to ensure cleanliness, organization, and reliability.
  • Keep the shop/warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
  • Maintain delivery vehicles, ensuring they are clean, organized, and in safe operating condition.
  • Receive, store, and ship parts, maintaining accurate inventory tracking.
  • Complete thorough and timely documentation, including obtaining signatures and submitting reports.
  • Educate customers and caregivers on proper equipment use, care, and safety.
  • Perform minor fittings and adjustments to customize equipment for user comfort.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
  • Participate in required training to stay updated on industry practices and product knowledge.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required, or minimum one year of related experience.
  • Minimum two years of relevant mechanical experience; medical equipment experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills (Word Processing, Email, Internet) for documentation and communication.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid State Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with wheelchair repair or medical equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull equipment over 100 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing, bending, and kneeling.
  • Strong manual dexterity for equipment manipulation and repairs.
  • Work in inclement weather during field operations.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
