Service Technician
About the Role
Join our maintenance team as a Service Technician at Boardwalk at Westlake Apartments, a 1,381-unit community in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time position ensures the physical aspects of our property meet company standards, resident expectations, and compliance requirements. We are offering a $1,200 sign-on bonus for this role.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and complete service requests, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance and support day-to-day property upkeep
- Complete make-readies and assist in maintaining curb appeal and community appearance
- Maintain interior and exterior areas in accordance with company standards, compliance requirements, and applicable laws
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance service requests and resident concerns
- Communicate clearly with residents, office staff, and maintenance leadership regarding repairs and updates
- Participate in paid rotating on-call duties and respond to emergency events as needed
Requirements
- Active, valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- One year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- HVAC/EPA/CFC certifications preferred but not required
Pay
- Base pay: $21.00 to $24.00 per hour
- Up to 50% rent discount
- Property staff shared renewal commissions
- $300 quarterly Morgan Essentials bonus
- $15/day on-call appreciation pay

- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
