Service Technician

About the role

Morgan Properties is seeking a Maintenance Service Technician to support the Woods at Polaris apartment community in Westerville, OH. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in apartment, residential, or commercial settings. EPA certification is required, with HVAC certification preferred. Applicants should have working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general carpentry. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential, along with the ability to commute within a 30-minute radius.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, appliances, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry-related maintenance issues
• Complete maintenance service requests efficiently while providing exceptional customer service
• Perform apartment turns and help prepare homes for new residents
• Maintain the appearance and safety of the community in accordance with company standards
• Communicate professionally with residents and onsite team members regarding repairs and work order updates
• Participate in the rotating on-call schedule supporting Fox Run

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in apartment, residential, or commercial maintenance
• EPA Certification required; HVAC certification strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general carpentry
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation
• Ability to live within a 30-minute commute of the community
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

Qualifications

Must be available to respond to after-hours emergency maintenance needs. Rotating paid on-call participation is required. Compensation & Incentives: Base Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour, Up to 50% Rent Discount, Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions, Morgan Essentials: $300 quarterly, On-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phone, Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits, 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match, Generous Paid Time Off, including 10 paid holidays and sick leave. Hours & Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Schedule subject to change based on business needs.
