Service Technician

About the role

Mankato Motors Nissan is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join their team. The role involves performing vehicle repair and maintenance tasks as per dealer and factory standards. The technician will also build customer loyalty by effectively diagnosing and repairing vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers about any additional service needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Requirements

• ASE certifications are ideal
• Strong automotive background
• Strong teamwork skills
• Willingness to submit to a background check
• Must have a clean and valid driver's license
