Service Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and upgrade security and wireless systems
• Install and terminate low-voltage cabling and devices
• Troubleshoot system issues and complete preventative maintenance
• Document all work and communicate updates to the Service Team Lead
• Conduct site surveys and identify upgrade opportunities
• Read and interpret scopes, floor plans, and technical documentation
• Provide professional customer service in sensitive environments

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–4 years of experience with low-voltage/security systems
• Proficiency with cabling, terminations, testing tools, and fire-stopping
• Basic computer and networking knowledge
• Ability to work independently on small to medium systems
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• MA D-License (for MA work)
• OSHA 10
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel throughout New England and work off-hours as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders/lifts, and operate in varying conditions

Preferred Experience

• With major security platforms (Honeywell, Genetec, Lenel, Bosch, etc.)
• Certifications in fire-stopping, lifts, or specialized security systems
• Experience in detention or other sensitive environments
