Responsibilities
- Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
- Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
- Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
- Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.

Work Environment
The service technician position performs their work offsite at our customer’s facilities so the work environments will vary as will any exposures to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites may be loud.
Physical Demands
- Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves continually during working hours.
- Is subject to lifting over 50 pounds.
- Involves sitting for various periods of time, and also requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching throughout the day.
- Must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Schedule
This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend work is also necessary at times.
Travel
This position will require the individual to travel 100% of the time within Tampa Bay / Sarasota-Bradenton Region. Territory includes the greater Tampa Bay and Sarasota/Bradenton areas, including Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, Lakewood Ranch, and Palmetto.
Requirements
- High school diploma and/or related associates degree.
- One to three years related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
