About the role
We are seeking a Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial fitness equipment. This role involves mechanical skill, troubleshooting, documentation, and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and basic software issues on commercial fitness equipment
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, accurately document work performed, parts used, and warranty status
- Maintain service vehicle inventory and ensure adherence to safety and housekeeping standards
- Provide repair estimates and coordinate with dispatch or inside sales for parts and quotations
- Communicate professionally and clearly outlining issues, timelines, and next steps
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to improve equipment uptime and meet SLAs
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong mechanical or electro-mechanical aptitude with proficiency using hand and power tools
- Experience in commercial fitness equipment or similar field service roles preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively in the field
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Comfortable with local travel and occasional overnight stays
- Able to lift and move heavy equipment as required
- Basic proficiency with mobile apps, CRM systems, or digital work-order platforms
