Job Duties
- You’ll be in the field handling installation, service, and repair of:
- Overhead doors (commercial and industrial)
- Loading dock equipment (levelers, seals, restraints)
- Garage doors and operators
- Security gates and grilles
- Mechanical and electrical components tied to door systems
- Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues
- Performing preventative maintenance and inspections
- Installing new systems and replacing components
- Working from work orders, schematics, and manuals
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and up to code
- Communicating with customers on-site
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with:
- Overhead doors
- Dock equipment
- Garage doors
- OR a similar mechanical/electrical trade
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic electrical troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Valid driver’s license
Bonus Points (Not Required)
- Experience with dock levelers, edge-of-dock units, or restraints
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Experience with access control or low voltage systems
- OSHA 10 or 30
Pay & Perks
- $25–$35/hour (some locations up to $40/hour depending on experience)
- Overtime:
- 1.5x standard overtime
- Double time on Sundays and holidays
