What You’ll Be Doing
- Handling installation, service, and repair of: Overhead doors (commercial and industrial), loading dock equipment (levelers, seals, restraints), garage doors and operators, security gates and grilles, and mechanical and electrical components tied to door systems.
- Day-to-day responsibilities include: Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance and inspections, installing new systems and replacing components, working from work orders, schematics, and manuals, ensuring all work is completed safely and up to code, and communicating with customers on-site.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience with: Overhead doors, dock equipment, garage doors, or a similar mechanical/electrical trade.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Bonus points: Experience with dock levelers, edge-of-dock units, or restraints, welding or fabrication experience, experience with access control or low voltage systems, OSHA 10 or 30.
Pay + Perks
- $25–$35/hour (some locations up to $40/hour depending on experience).
- Overtime: 1.5x standard overtime, double time on Sundays and holidays.
