About the role
A nationwide provider of commercial door, dock, and security access solutions, supporting facilities across a wide range of industries. Our teams install, repair, and maintain critical systems such as overhead doors, loading docks, gates, grilles, and access control systems that keep operations running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues
- Performing preventative maintenance and inspections
- Installing new systems and replacing components
- Working from work orders, schematics, and manuals
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and up to code
- Communicating with customers on-site
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with: Overhead doors, dock equipment, garage doors OR a similar mechanical/electrical trade
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic electrical troubleshooting ability
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Bonus points: Experience with dock levelers, edge-of-dock units, or restraints, welding or fabrication experience, experience with access control or low voltage systems, OSHA 10 or 30
Skills
- Knowledge of overhead doors, dock equipment, or mechanical systems
- Ability to fix things the right way the first time
- Hands-on work preference

- $25–$35/hour (some locations up to $40/hour depending on experience)
- Overtime: 1.5x standard overtime, double time on Sundays and holidays

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be in the field handling installation, service, and repair of: Overhead doors (commercial and industrial), loading dock equipment (levelers, seals, restraints), garage doors and operators, security gates and grilles, and mechanical and electrical components tied to door systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues

- Working from work orders, schematics, and manuals
