About the role
The Service Technician at JF Petroleum Group plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of fueling infrastructure equipment. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of equipment found in service stations and convenience gas stations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair fuel dispensers, submersible fuel pumps, service station site controllers, credit card readers, cash register consoles, pumping PCW, tank & line monitoring equipment, and other related equipment.
- Understand and comply with applicable fire safety, OSHA, and EPA rules and regulations.
- Analyze and determine appropriate actions for service and repair of equipment.
- Perform necessary repairs to correct analyzed situations in a professional and productive manner.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment.
- Perform factory authorized modifications according to specifications.
- Maintain tools required for effective and safe performance of the job.
- Follow customer's safety and housekeeping guidelines when performing repairs at customer sites.
- Resolve warranty calls on dispensers and tank monitors.
- Perform service calls as needed on an after-hours basis.
- Provide break fix and preventative maintenance on service station electronics, computers, and fuel dispensing systems, including electronic, plumbing, and mechanical work.
- Ensure quality customer service by exceeding customer expectations.
- Complete required prerequisite work to obtain and maintain certification from original equipment manufacturers.
- Work with service project crews on service projects, assist lead technicians with start-up and commissioning of equipment.
- Travel as needed to perform job duties.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with computer operations and an aptitude for learning computer skills.
- Preferred certifications: Gilbarco Dispenser certification and Veeder Root Tank Monitor certification.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, stooping, standing for 8-10 hours per day.
Pay
The pay range for this position is between $20-$34/hr based on experience.
