Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician plays a crucial role in the JF Petroleum Group, a leading provider of fueling infrastructure solutions. They are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various equipment used in service stations and convenience gas stations.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fuel dispensers, submersible fuel pumps, service station site controllers, credit card readers, cash register consoles, pumping PCW, tank & line monitoring equipment, and other related equipment.
• Work safely, adhering to fire safety, OSHA, and EPA rules and regulations.
• Analyze and determine appropriate actions for service and repair of equipment.
• Perform necessary repairs to correct analyzed situations professionally and efficiently.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment and perform factory authorized modifications according to specifications.
• Maintain tools required for effective and safe performance of the job.
• Follow customer safety and housekeeping guidelines when performing repairs at customer sites.
• Resolve warranty calls on dispensers and tank monitors.
• Perform service calls as needed on an after-hours basis.
• Perform break fix and preventative maintenance on service station electronics, computers, and fuel dispensing systems, including electronic, plumbing, and mechanical work.
• Provide quality customer service that exceeds customer expectations by completing assigned duties in a cost-effective manner.
• Obtain and maintain certifications from original equipment manufacturers.
• Work with service project crews on service projects, assist lead technicians with start-up and commissioning of equipment.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid driver's license.
• Familiarity with computer operations and an aptitude for learning computer skills.
• Preferred Gilbarco Dispenser certification and Veeder Root Tank Monitor certification.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently, bend, stoop, and stand for 8-10 hours per day.
• Passability of company’s employment requirements, including a drug screen, criminal background check, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, if driving for the company.
