Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and make corrections to all control systems, including hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and programmable controls.
- Calibrate machines to achieve optimum performance, set up, and maintain machines.
- Provide system setup and startup support for all Husky equipment.
- Develop an organized approach to solving machine problems using available reference materials such as manuals, drawings, and procedures.
- Repair and/or replace any component on machines, robots, product handling equipment, and molds as required.
- Develop and maintain superior customer relations.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal resources to ensure effective customer service.
- Instruct service technicians and/or customer operators on the maintenance and safe operation of injection molding systems.
- Communicate with Call Center/SIF Team/Spare Parts Centers to resolve field problems.
- Provide regular and effective written reports to the Service Team Leader.
- Arrange for the return of parts to the Spare Parts Center.
- Perform all tasks required by your team leader.
- Act as a mentor and guide other team members.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Technical or Engineering-related studies.
- 10+ years of injection molding equipment maintenance and troubleshooting or related experience.
Skills
- Knowledge of blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of plastic processing and the injection molding process.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems systematically.
- Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system assembly knowledge.
- Knowledgeable in plastic materials such as PET, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, and Styrene.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
- Tact and diplomacy, including the ability to handle difficult or unhappy customers.
- Demonstrated initiative with a positive attitude.
- Dedicated team player.
- Travel survival skills due to extensive travel required in this position.
