Service Technician
Position Summary
Performs a wide range of maintenance and service tasks including installs and repairs.
Position Responsibilities
- Evaluate products accurately for maintenance, warranty, upgrades and other purposes.
- Responsible for removing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, disassembling and assembling parts and components.
- Collaborate closely with technical team to resolve technical issues.
- May provide training to service staff on how to identify and resolve issues, repairs, etc.
- Understand customer requirements and accordingly recommend the right products or services.
- May conduct client demonstration when required.
- Understand technical problems effectively through proper analysis, evaluation and diagnoses.
- May provide training to customers about product usage and maintenance.
- Support the field staff in equipment set-up for trade shows or exhibitions.
- Prepare creative product presentations for sales meetings or trainings.
- Build positive relationships with customers by providing outstanding and excellent services.
- Prepare and distribute maintenance records, warranty contracts, installation report and other service reports to the senior managers.
- Respond to customer complaints timely and effectively to meet sales goals.
Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Strong analytical skills
Position Qualifications
- Education: HS diploma or equivalent required
- Some technical education or certification(s) preferred
- Experience: 2+ years of related experience preferred, preferably in a sport vehicle related industry
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Making repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, and lifting
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Walking
- Reaching overhead and below the knees
- Handling or moving heavy, irregularly shaped objects
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly
