Service Technician

About the role

Fort Dodge Ford is expanding and seeks a Service Technician to join their driven, enthusiastic, and winning team. The ideal candidate should have a strong automotive background, be proficient in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems, and be willing to undergo a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers about any additional service needed and provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal
• Strong automotive background
• Strong teamwork skills
• Willingness to submit to a drug screen and background check
• Valid driver's license
