About the Role
Beztak Senior Living is seeking a Service Technician to join our team. This position ensures the property, grounds, and equipment are safe, orderly, and visually appealing, providing residents with a clean and well-maintained living environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform building repairs, snow removal, groundskeeping, and other duties to maintain a clean and well-kept community.
- Respond to service requests with urgency to address resident needs promptly.
- Manage inventory and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop.
- Maintain and care for equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Complete emergency repairs to prevent damage or deterioration.
- Document replacements and repairs, including appliances, carpet, vinyl, water heaters, condensers, and major system repairs.
- Track apartment painting (full or touch-up), refrigerator coil cleaning, and other significant maintenance tasks.
- Report building deficiencies or needs to the Supervisor in writing.
- Operate a company or personal vehicle for work-related purposes as required.
- Work in a high-pressure environment, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, and interacting effectively with residents, vendors, and team members.

- Available to work a Sunday through Thursday schedule.
Requirements
- High school diploma or related vocational training and/or equivalent work experience.
- 1-year experience in a similar field required.
- HVAC knowledge and EPA certification preferred.
Candidates must be willing and able to drive for work-related purposes and pass pre-employment testing, including criminal background checks, fingerprinting (where applicable), drug testing, and state-specific requirements (e.g., Level 2 ACHA in Florida, fingerprint clearance card in Arizona, TB test in Michigan).

Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, and reaching overhead.
- Pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including occupied and unoccupied apartment units, maintenance shops, and common areas.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) and occasional extreme conditions (high heat, humidity, freezing temperatures).
- Exposure to dust, dirt, pollen, debris, cleaning agents, paint fumes, construction odors, and grounds maintenance chemicals (fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, ice melt).
- Moderate to loud noise levels from tools, machinery, and equipment.
- May involve working in confined spaces, heights, and areas with limited ventilation.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, masks, and hearing protection may be required.
