Job Summary

Comfort Systems USA - Intermountain Inc. is seeking a HVAC Service Technician to service the Southern Utah area.

Job Functions And Duties

  • Service and troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems and associated controls systems.
  • Work without supervision to complete assignments and gain knowledge of products/processes.
  • Safety Minded. Aware of the many potential hazards associated with the industry.
  • Active Learning Skills. Understand the essential need of new information and pursue ongoing training.
  • Good Communication Skills. Good listener with the ability to complete tasks as instructed to help negotiate complex problems and deliver competent customer service solutions in an honest and believable manner.
  • Team Minded. Enjoy helping others to succeed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5+ years of on-the-job experience
  • Boiler/chiller experience, preferred
  • Basic mathematical, language, communication and reasoning skills
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
    • EPA 608 Universal refrigeration license
    • NATE Certification (preferred)
    • Manufacturer specific certificates
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean drug and background history

Physical Demands

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • The employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk, use hands and fingers to reach, feel, grasp, and manipulate; and be able to reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage) and vibration.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Work Availability And Requirements

  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Daily travel requirements with rare overnight travel.
