Job Summary

Comfort Systems USA - Intermountain Inc. is seeking a HVAC Service Technician to service the Southern Utah area.

Job Functions And Duties

• Service and troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems and associated controls systems.
• Work independently to complete assignments and gain product/process knowledge.
• Maintain safety-mindedness, aware of potential hazards.
• Show active learning skills, seek out new information and training.
• Communicate effectively, listen actively, and provide competent customer service solutions.
• Work collaboratively, enjoy helping others succeed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 5+ years of on-the-job experience
• Preferred: Boiler/chiller experience
• Basic mathematical, language, communication, and reasoning skills
• NATE Certification (preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Clean drug and background history

Physical Demands

• Regularly stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to reach, feel, grasp, and manipulate.
• Occasional lifting and moving up to 100 pounds, and occasionally more than 100 pounds.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
• Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
• Rare exposure to noise levels in the work environment.

Work Environment

• Outdoor work, in mechanical/equipment rooms, and in possible extreme weather conditions.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
• Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
• Rare exposure to noise levels in the work environment.

Work Availability And Requirements

• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Daily travel requirements with rare overnight travel.
