About the role
Micro Center is the nation’s leading computer and electronic device big-box retailer, offering an industry-leading selection of premier computer products and a knowledgeable staff. We are seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented Service Operations Supervisor to oversee the operational aspects, goals, and metrics of the Computer Service Repair Department and Knowledge Bar.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and guidance to the Computer Service Repair Department and Knowledge Bar associates.
- Ensures parts orders and returns are executed accurately and within specified timeframes, including store stock quality control.
- Responsible for cycle counts and manages inventory turns, obsolescence, and markdowns with Service Purchasing.
- Ensures customer service standards are met and difficult customer situations are handled courteously and professionally.
- Drives performance of the Service Department to meet or exceed established goals for customer satisfaction, productivity, income, and operational efficiency.
- Manages vendor relationships, including parts cost, margin, and service-level agreements (SLA).
- Creates vendor P&Ls (Profit & Loss statements).
- Participates in staffing, orientation, and training activities in the store.
- Assists with scheduling to ensure proper coverage.
- Maintains the technical certification level of the shop to ensure proper service and repair of products.
- Responsible for the look and feel of the parts room and any facility maintenance of the Service Department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from a college or technical school preferred.
- At least one year of related supervisory or management experience in a service facility, retail service department, or tech support environment preferred.
- A+ and Apple certifications are required within 120 days of hire.

- Communication and Language: Ability to communicate professionally, handle multiple customers and projects simultaneously, read and interpret business documents, write reports and correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one or group settings.
- Reasoning and Mathematical: Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; apply basic algebra concepts; define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions; follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds; stand for prolonged periods.
Schedule
Shifts include hours before and after the store is open to the public and may also include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
