About the role

As a Service Planner, you will schedule and support shop and field service repairs for compressed air equipment while serving as the information liaison between the Service Manager, Service Technicians, Parts Specialist, and customers. You will report to the Regional Operations Manager and work closely with the Service Manager to coordinate department activities.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming service calls and schedule shop and field repairs in the computer system.
  • Provide regular updates to customers on service progress.
  • Maintain and edit scheduled service orders, including manual orders and service contracts.
  • Facilitate the closing of service orders approved for invoicing.
  • Review and maintain labor records for Service Technicians.
  • Prepare credit notes and manual invoices for Service Manager review.
  • Order parts required for service repairs and expedite delivery as needed.
  • Complete administrative tasks for element return functions.
  • Report completed service jobs and problem areas to the Service Manager daily.
  • Maintain service files, including contracts, open orders, customer history, employee records, expense reports, and vacation requests.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for Service Technicians and local/regional meetings or training.
  • Coordinate installation of new compressed air equipment with the Sales team.
  • Project a knowledgeable and customer-oriented image to support positive company branding.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Quincy standards while prioritizing customer needs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Service coordination experience in an industrial service industry.
  • Knowledge of parts and maintenance for air compressors or similar machinery.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with SAP and MAM (preferred).
  • Ability to move about the facility and customer sites, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in extreme temperatures, loud environments, elevated areas, and around forklifts.
  • Flexibility to work in office, warehouse, workshop, or field environments, including customer job sites.
  • Availability for overtime and weekend work as needed.

Pay

Base salary range: $65,000 – $80,000, depending on experience and interview performance.

Schedule

Hybrid working arrangement, splitting time between remote work and the Quincy Compressor office in Charlotte, NC.
