Service Order Manager (SOM)

Job Summary

EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Service Order Manager (SOM) at Fort Carson Evan Army Community Hospital in Fort Carson, Colorado. The position involves developing scopes of work, soliciting competitive bids, preparing estimates, and coordinating various construction and repair projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops scopes of work for various construction or repair projects based on specific direction from the client representative.
• Solicits competitive bids and prepares estimates for client approval.
• Acquires permits as required (Hot Work, LOTO, ISLM, ICRA) before commencing projects.
• Coordinates construction work with campus staff and tenants to minimize operational disruptions.
• Prepares safety and environmental plans to ensure compliance with OSHA and TJC standards.
• Prepares and implements Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) during renovation or construction projects.
• Prepares punch lists and quality assurance inspections at project completion.
• Schedules equipment commissioning and prepares project reports for the client.
• Ensures training of site employees on safe operations and maintenance of new equipment.
• Prepares and submits AutoCAD drawings for review and approval.
• Prepares and submits invoices for completed IDIQ projects.
• Processes vendor and contractor invoices according to accounts payable procedures.
• Maintains compliance with department safety and quality standards.
• Follows and implements standard lockout/tagout procedures.
• Attends weekly tool box safety meetings.

Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), or Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) preferred.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturer's submittals and literature.
• Ability to specify and order materials via JDEdwards software.
• Completion of RS Means Construction Estimating (supplied by EMCOR).
• Current valid driver's license.
• Completion of OSHA 10/30 General Industry Safety and Health training class (supplied by EMCOR).

Physical Demands

• Regularly walks, uses hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaches with hands and arms, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
• Frequently stands, sits, lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
• Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.

Work Environment

• Exposure to noise levels in the work environment are usually moderate.
• Exposure to radiation.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000. Other compensation details are not specified.
