About the role
This Senior Architect role within the Enterprise Architecture team provides strategic leadership and technical expertise across the enterprise architecture landscape, with a focus on AI and ServiceNow platform architecture. The position reports to the Alpharetta, Georgia office and requires in-office collaboration Monday–Thursday, with remote flexibility on Fridays. Immigration sponsorship is not offered.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement smart solutions in GCP/AWS using Cloud Native capabilities.
- Establish the high-level Solution Intent for projects or problem statements.
- Define responsibilities of major logical components of solutions in collaboration with team members.
- Develop architecture deliverables illustrating system behavior, including usage models, cost of ownership models, and failure analysis models.
- Ensure solutions align with technology strategy, use standard building blocks, and can be built and operated efficiently.
- Develop, analyze, split, and prioritize work required to implement non-functional requirements.
- Provide technical oversight of implementation to align the final build with the solution intent.
- Monitor infrastructure and application uptime to ensure functional and performance objectives.
- Partner with Engineering and SREs to analyze outages or resiliency issues and provide remediation steps.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent job experience.
- 3+ years of experience architecting and developing software in the public cloud, with 5+ years of overall relevant experience.
- Experience with one or more languages such as Python, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript, and/or Node.js.
- Demonstrable cross-functional knowledge of systems, storage, networking, security, and databases.
- Experience with microservice best practices and design patterns.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and immutable data management patterns (CQRS).
- Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Cloud Certification (strongly preferred).
Skills
- Experience designing scalable, resilient infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Knowledge of networking, compute, storage, and security architecture patterns.
- Demonstrated experience with Generative AI technologies and platforms (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude).
- Understanding of agentic AI architectures, AI skills development, and practical application of GenAI in enterprise environments.
- Ability to evaluate, integrate, and govern AI tools within existing technology ecosystems.
- Experience leveraging cloud-native GCP/AWS services for product and platform architecture.
- Experience with multi-cloud design patterns and cloud migration strategies.
- Strong understanding of security and DevOps principles.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub (version control, Actions, workflows), and automated deployment processes.
- Ability to design and implement solutions meeting security and compliance requirements.
- Experience collaborating with developers and operations teams to ensure seamless implementation.
