Service Manager | Maui & Honolulu Regional Application
About the role
This is not a posting for a specific open position. We're building a pipeline of qualified Service Manager candidates for future openings at Mercedes-Benz of Maui and Mercedes-Benz of Honolulu. Submitting an application does not guarantee an interview or immediate consideration. Qualified candidates will be contacted as positions become available.
IS THIS YOU? You're a proven service leader -- Service Manager or strong Service Drive Manager -- who runs a productive, guest-first operation and holds your team to a consistent standard without managing around them. You have luxury or import brand service experience and you're ready for a Hawaii Mercedes-Benz role when the right store opens -- or you're actively exploring a move to the islands and want Swickard to know who you are.
Who We Are: Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company in the retail automotive space built on one idea -- be the favorite of our guests, our employees, and our manufacturing partners. We operate 40+ dealerships across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii, and whether you’re in Thousand Oaks or Anchorage, the standard is the same. Do right by people, every time.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full service department -- advisors, technicians, and support staff -- to deliver consistent quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction
- Own key fixed ops metrics -- CSI, absorption, effective labor rate, technician efficiency, hours per RO, and warranty compliance
- Develop and coach the service advisor team -- setting performance expectations and ensuring every advisor communicates with the clarity and follow-through a Mercedes-Benz ownership community expects
- Drive technician productivity and development -- partnering with shop leadership to manage workflow, improve efficiency, and support certification advancement
- Manage department financial performance -- monitoring revenue, expenses, and absorption targets
- Maintain Mercedes-Benz OEM certification compliance, warranty administration standards, and manufacturer relationship requirements
- Handle guest escalations with composure and a solution-first approach
Requirements
- 2+ years of Service Manager or Service Drive Manager experience at a franchised dealership -- required.
- Strong drive managers with demonstrated fixed ops leadership and CSI performance will be considered.
- Mercedes-Benz or luxury European brand service experience strongly preferred -- familiarity with MB's service processes, MBUSA programs, and the brand's high-expectation ownership profile is a meaningful advantage.
- Demonstrated CSI and absorption performance -- you know what a well-run luxury service department looks like and you've built one.
- A coaching-first leadership approach -- you develop your advisors and technicians rather than managing around them.
- Prior DMS experience required -- familiarity with platforms such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, DealerSocket, Tekion, or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Life insurance and supplemental coverage options
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- Career growth -- strong Service Managers at Swickard grow into fixed ops director and multi-store operational leadership roles
- Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts
Pay
$80,000 - $160,000+/yr -- range varies by store, volume, and experience
