About the role
Volkswagen of Stamford is seeking a Service Manager to oversee the auto service and repair operations at their high-volume dealership. The position involves managing a team of technicians and consultants, ensuring customer satisfaction, and adhering to dealership and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage Service Department operations with a focus on customer service and quality repairs
- Communicate with customers and staff to resolve service-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction
- Oversee warranty administration and mentor/train Service Consultants and Technicians
- Maintain dealership service communications and assist in the hiring and performance management of Service Advisors and Technicians
Requirements
- At least 10 years of dealership experience, preferably as a service advisor or technician
- Extensive technical background
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain profitability and control expenses
- Committed to staying up-to-date with dealership and company standards and regulatory compliance
- Experience with dealership management systems, particularly CDK
- Professional certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is advantageous
