Service Manager
About the role
We are now offering a Service Manager position to oversee maintenance operations for a 234-unit community in Baldwinsville, NY. Ideal for a skilled maintenance leader with experience in developing high-performing teams and delivering exceptional resident service.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Maintenance Technicians
- Oversee daily maintenance operations, work order completion, and apartment make-ready schedules
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and guidance in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, and general maintenance
- Establish and manage preventative maintenance programs to protect the community's assets and ensure long-term operational success
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, common areas, and vacant apartments to maintain quality and safety standards
- Manage inventory, supplies, and maintenance-related expenses
- Cook up and manage an effective on-call schedule for the maintenance team while remaining available for emergencies and severe weather events
- Partner closely with office staff to deliver responsive service and exceptional experiences for residents
Requirements
- Active and valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification preferred
- Five or more years of maintenance experience, including leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair, and general building maintenance
- Ability to lead teams, prioritize competing demands, and maintain high operational standards
- Multifamily maintenance experience strongly preferred
Qualifications

Pay
Base Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
Schedule
Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Paid rotating on-call participation required
Must be available for emergency events, snow removal, and severe weather response
Schedule subject to change based on business needs
