Service Line Coordinator
About the Role
The Service Line Coordinator performs duties in alignment with the organization's mission and policies, ensuring compliance with performance improvement plans, TJC, and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, hospital departments, and the Director of the Colorectal Surgery Institute to drive performance improvement projects, oversee development timelines, monitor progress, and problem-solve to meet program objectives.
Key responsibilities include collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting data while maintaining patient confidentiality. The coordinator will leverage advanced colorectal knowledge to provide leadership within the Colorectal Surgery Institute, assist in planning and implementing program goals, and supervise staff on clinic processes such as scheduling, charge audits, and revenue-based statistics.
The role requires strategic thinking, effective analysis, and sound judgment to identify and resolve issues while maintaining professionalism. The coordinator will also embrace diversity and display cultural sensitivity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee performance improvement projects, including development timelines, deliverables, and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary physicians (Colorectal and General Surgeons, Medical and Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, Anesthesiologists, and Quality Management) and clinical departments.
- Develop and implement the Centers of Excellence program for Colorectal diseases.
- Interface with medical, nursing, and clinical staff to improve compliance with Colorectal Service line elements.
- Analyze data and present findings to relevant committees.
- Serve in a leadership capacity for program-specific committees, including meeting preparation, agenda coordination, and action item tracking.
- Oversee the tracking process for colorectal patient throughput data and initiate changes to improve outcomes.
- Develop and maintain program performance reports and data summaries.
- Provide leadership in developing clinical protocols, policies, and program objectives for Colorectal Center of Excellence programs.
- Establish processes for communication, synergy, and collaboration between committee members and hospital clinical departments.
- Supervise and train staff on clinic processes, including charge capture, charge review post-procedure, and revenue-based statistics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare/Public Health Administration (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare, clinical knowledge, and/or Colorectal service line or related field.
- Knowledge of HCPCS and CPT Compliance regulations.
- Master’s Degree in Business or Healthcare/Public Health Administration (preferred).
- Certified Professional Coder (preferred).

Pay
$37.50 - $51.27 per hour.
