It focuses on designing, operating, and maintaining reliable computer-based services while improving service delivery, compliance, cost efficiency, and overall system performance.About the OpportunityThe Service Engineer II IS collaborates with development, testing, and program management teams to enhance and maintain critical IT services. This role focuses on service reliability, resilience, automation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement, helping minimize disruptions and ensure production systems remain secure, scalable, and aligned with business and technical requirements.Responsibilities• Understand caregiver, business, and technical requirements to support service architecture and operability.• Analyze service delivery systems and identify opportunities to improve quality, cost, performance, and reliability.• Troubleshoot service issues and engineer solutions that address root causes and prevent recurring problems.• Participate in disaster recovery exercises and incident response activities.• Analyze service data to assess capacity requirements and support cost modeling.• Optimize the use of financial and technical resources supporting service delivery.• Identify and resolve platform, system, deployment, and environmental issues before production release.• Participate in problem management, including root cause and trend analysis.• Ensure production solutions are reliable, secure, resilient, and continuously monitored.• Collect and analyze service metrics, including availability, performance, capacity, and system health.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.• Minimum 2 years of related professional experience.• Experience developing automation for deployment, recovery, monitoring, or manual processes.• Familiarity with n-tier application architectures.• Experience with resilience modeling and service outage simulation.• Ability to read, write, and configure code supporting service telemetry, monitoring, and self-healing capabilities.• Strong knowledge of web services, virtualization, and cloud technologies.• Experience with infrastructure and server technologies including Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, and networking.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• Basic project management skills.Preferred Qualifications• Experience working in a healthcare environment.• Azure certification.Pay Range and Compensation Package• Hourly salary ranges vary by location.• Example ranges include $48.27–$76.22 per hour in Anchorage, Alaska and $56.46–$89.13 per hour in Northern California.• Actual compensation will depend on geographic location, experience, skills, qualifications, and other applicable factors.
