About The Role

We are seeking a Safety Engineer to support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting risk assessments, supporting incident investigations, delivering safety training, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and assist with implementing changes to EHS programs and policies.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS policies, procedures, and site-specific programs.
  • Maintain EHS metrics, analyze trends, and support management reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct workplace safety inspections, environmental audits, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate incident and accident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Support environmental permitting activities and regulatory reporting as required.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs to promote regulatory compliance and workplace safety.
  • Participate in internal and external EHS compliance audits and coordinate follow-up corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety performance and operational excellence.
  • Participate in Lean, Continuous Improvement, and 5S initiatives.
  • Support additional EHS-related responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Safety Engineering, or related engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • OSHA regulations
    • EPA regulations
    • Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
    • Incident and Accident Investigation
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Risk Assessments
    • ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
    • ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting EHS programs within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or 5S methodologies.
  • Experience participating in EHS compliance audits and environmental permitting activities.
  • Knowledge of environmental reporting and regulatory compliance processes.
