Key Responsibilities
- Communicates and promotes policies and programs to assist in providing a safe and healthy workplace.
- Captures and documents all accidents, reviews work restrictions, and maintains medical files in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Coordinates the presentation and documentation of environmental, safety & DOT related training programs to ensure corporate compliance.
- Investigates OSHA, EPA, DOT, ergonomic, safety, health and hygiene complaints, suggestions and recommendations and resolves any related problems.
- Maintains appropriate records for applicable EH&S and DOT programs, such as, material safety data sheets, drug screenings, recordable incidents, training, etc.
- Works with environmental consultant, coordinates data collection for required EPA reports, conducts/monitors various inspections and maintains appropriate records of compliance.
- Oversees Loss Control & Protection Mutual visits and ensures recommendations are reviewed and implemented as appropriate.
- Coordinates activities of, and meets, with Safety Teams routinely.
- Maintains EHS Compliance Calendar, ensuring activities are completed weekly, monthly annually, etc., as required.
- Documents audit findings and corrective actions and monitors actions to completion.
