Environmental, Health, & Safety Coordinator
Essential Responsibilities
Maintain a daily presence on the production floor, building trust and visibility with operators.
Lead near-miss reporting, including investigation, follow-up, and closure of corrective actions.
Manage the “Be Aware, Take Care” program, promoting active employee participation, daily hazard reviews, and continuous improvement.
Conduct safety observations and provide real-time coaching to reinforce safe behaviors.
Reinforce housekeeping standards and visual management practices across the site.
Risk Management & Incident Response
Support and lead risk assessments and hazard identification activities.
Develop, review, and execute accident investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and safety alerts.
Implement site-specific safety programs, emergency response plans, and corrective action initiatives.
Training & Development
Develop and deliver comprehensive HS training and onboarding for:
- Employees
- Contractors
- Vendors
Ensure training emphasizes regulatory requirements, safe work practices, and site-specific hazards.

- Proven ability to motivate teams and drive a strong safety culture.
- Demonstrated expertise in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Action-oriented mindset focused on engagement and results—not bureaucracy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent experience.
- Safety certification preferred: Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or Certified Safety & Health Manager (CSHM).
- Working knowledge of Utah and South Salt Lake regulatory requirements.
- Experience with EHS management systems (e.g., Velocity, Enhesa Compliance) is a plus.
- Spanish communication skills are a plus.
Physical Demands
- Regular use of hands for handling, grasping, and fine manipulation.
- Frequent reaching, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
