Service Development Director
Freedom Behavioral of Minden, a DPU of Minden Medical Center, has an immediate opening for a Marketing/Service Development Director (SDD).
About the role
The SDD is responsible for the implementation of business and marketing plans for the multi-state behavioral department. This role will work closely with the Regional SDD and Program Administrator to establish strategic marketing plans and train, guide, and manage the Service Development Plan by territory. The Service Development Director will analyze information from facility reports and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports reflecting marketing activity. This role maintains statistical information and community development data to meet the needs of patients and referral sources.
This position requires strong analytical abilities, leadership of a team, and relationship development both internally and externally. The Service Development Director will spend 80% or more of the workday on the road to ensure all programs meet performance expectations and will attend regular training meetings with possible overnight travel.
Responsibilities
- Implement business and marketing plans for the multi-state behavioral department.
- Establish strategic marketing plans in collaboration with the Regional SDD and Program Administrator.
- Train, guide, and manage the Service Development Plan by territory.
- Analyze facility reports and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on marketing activity.
- Maintain statistical information and community development data for served areas.
- Lead a team and develop relationships internally and externally.
- Spend 80% or more of the workday traveling to ensure program performance expectations are met.
- Attend regular training meetings, which may require overnight travel.
Requirements
- Minimum of twelve consecutive months in a healthcare marketing or Business Development role with demonstrated success.
- Experience leading a sales team with measurable results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Development, or a related field preferred; equivalent healthcare experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Proven marketing, sales, or customer service experience and/or clinical educator background.
- Familiarity with behavioral health patient population, common terms, and diagnoses.
- Regulatory and compliance-based knowledge of healthcare statutes.
- Proficiency with mobile tools, applications, and technology.
- Excellent computer and technology skills for this data-driven role.
